Biography

Hon. Minister MITALI - K- Protais worked in various sectors, both Private and Public. He is a member of Cabinet since 2003 where he occupied various posts respectively, Minister of State in charge of Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation ; Minister of State in charge of Industry and Investment Promotion ; Minister of Commerce, Industry, Investment Promotion, Tourism and Cooperatives ; Minister of Youth and currently Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture.

A lawyer by professional, since 1994 up to 2003 he was a Member of Parliament and commissioner for the unity and reconciliation commission. Since 1990 up to 1994, he played a remarkable role in socio-economic-political activities as member of various organizations, Board of directors ; and currently, he is the Chairperson of the Liberal Party. He is able to communicate easily in Kinyarwanda, French and English.
